MARIELA'S KITCHEN
Excerpts from my thesis film, Mariela's Kitchen which I produced and directed. I received an MFA in Film and Theater Directing in 1999 from the California Institute of The Arts (CalArts). Mariela's Kitchen is a Magical Realism film based on a play that was in the New Works Festival at CalArts in 1996. Starring Juan Devis, Francis Hearn and Sayda Trujillo. CalArts selected Mariela's Kitchen to air on KCET's Short Takes program, 2000-2001 and won the Silver Award At Worldfest Houston in 2000.
