ABOUT LORETTE BAYLE

I have always been a visual story teller as I grew up painting beside my mother, loved photography from an early age, produced, shot and edited documentaries for PBS and studied film and theater directing at the California Institute of the Arts and film directing at the American Film Institute. Award winning filmmaker for both narrative and documentary films, and for my PBS programs.

I continue to learn through observation.  As a Kodak Rep I worked with noted directors like Damien Chazelle, PT Anderson, Quentin Terrantino, Patty Jenkins, Olivia Wilde, Azazel Jacobs and Oliver Stone on their features.  In television, I shadowed directors on ABC, Warner Bros and Lifetime scripted programs.  Before film school I assisted the producers at American Zoetrope and worked for the Sundance Institute and FIND. I love directing and aim to tell stories that enliven us and help us to remember our connections to one another.  One of my defining principles is a deep commitment to entertainment and the arts.
